Yves Derains
Yves Derains is a former Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration and Director of the Legal Department of the ICC, is member of the Paris Bar and founding partner of the law firm Derains & Gharavi. He is specialized in commercial and investment arbitration and is acting both as arbitrator and counsel in arbitration proceedings. He is Honorary Chairman of the ICC Institute of World Business Law, former Chairman of the Comité Français de l’Arbitrage, former Chairman of the Working Party on the Revision of the ICC Rules of Arbitration and Honorary Professor of several Universities in Lima, Peru. He is also author of many publications on International Commercial Arbitration, in particular: “A Guide to the ICC Rules of Arbitration” (2nd E, with E. Schwartz), Kluwer, 2005.
