João Ilhão Moreira

João Ilhão Moreira is a DPhil candidate in Law at Linacre College (University of Oxford) and a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Oxford. Previously, João was a lecturer at the University of Coimbra, worked as a lawyer in the arbitration team of Portuguese law firm PLMJ. He has hold visiting positions t the Chinese University of Political Science and Law, the Faculty of Law of Hong Kong and the Max-Planck-Institut für Ausländisches und Internationales Privatrecht. He further worked as a Research Assistant for two projects respectively at the Faculty Law of the University of Oxford on ADR and the Faculty of Law of the University of Cambridge on the sociology of arbitration. João holds a BA in Law and a Master in Law from the University of Coimbra, as well an MSt in Legal Research from St Cross College (University of Oxford). He has published several articles on international arbitration, competition law and public law.
