Annet van Hooft
Annet is an independent arbitrator based in Paris. She has participated in over 100 international arbitrations under the rules of arbitration of numerous institutions (AFA, CEPANI, CMAP, DIA, DIS, HCC, HKIAC, ICC, NAI, PCA, SCC, SIAC, Swiss, UNCITRAL, VIAC, WIPO). Admitted to practice in both common and civil law jurisdictions, Annet worked at major U.S. and U.K. law firms in Brussels, New York, and Paris, and acted as Counsel at the ICC International Court of Arbitration before setting up her own independent law firm. Her arbitrator practice has been recognised by Chambers and Partner (Band 2 Arbitrator France), Legal 500 (France Power-list), Jus Mundi (Female Arbitrator Power-list), Who’s Who (Arbitration Thought Leaders), and Best Lawyers. She is a former Vice-Chair of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, Co-Chair of the Open Commission on International Arbitration of the Paris Bar, and Honorary President of the Bucharest International Arbitration Court (BIAC).
