Monika Diehl is counsel in Clifford Chance’s International Arbitration Group, splitting her time between Warsaw and Frankfurt. With over 13 years’ experience, she represents clients in complex international arbitration disputes across a broad range of sectors, including renewables, oil and gas, M&A, infrastructure, construction, TMT, and finance. Monika acts as counsel for both investors and states in investment treaty arbitrations and is recognised as an Arbitration Future Leader by Lexology and as Up and Coming counsel and arbitrator in Poland. According to Chambers, “Monika Diehl has very broad international experience, I’d say she’s a true international arbitration lawyer.” Monika is also a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and is committed to mentoring the next generation of arbitration practitioners, serving as Co-Chair of the Delos Young chapter in Europe. In 2024, Monika was listed among the Top 25 Female Business Lawyers in Poland by Forbes Women and the Women in Law Foundation, and she is a graduate of the leadership programme at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
