Laetitia de Montalivet became the Regional Director Europe for the ICC Court of International Arbitration in 2016. Prior to this, she was active in many capacities within the ICC, including being in charge of the ICC Strategic Development and Business Development and being responsible for the ICC Institute of World Business Law, a think-tank in international law, where she remains a Senior Advisor. She also acted as Director of ICC Training and Conferences, where in 2006, she developed the ICC Training Centre. She also co-founded ICC Young Arbitrator Forum (YAF), a forum for young arbitration professionals under 40 years, as well as the ICC Academy, based in Singapore, which offers a wide range of specialized e-learning courses and online certifications for trade professionals worldwide.
A former Member of the Paris Bar, Ms de Montalivet worked on the Justice and Home Affairs Task Force of the General Secretariat of the European Commission in Brussels. In 2002, she founded the “Sunu Bibliotheque”, a non-profit organization that establishing libraries in Africa and co-founded “La Voix au Chapitre” (A say in the matter), a non-profit organization promoting the voice of women in public life.
Ms de Montalivet holds a Master 2 degree in Criminal Law from the University of Paris Panthéon Assas as well as an MBA from HEC, a leading French business school. She also undertook a joint programme at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Boston, US, and is a graduate of the 63rd Session of the “Institut des Hautes Etudes de Defense Nationale” (IHEDN).
