José Ricardo Feris

José Ricardo Feris is Partner at Squire Patton Boggs. He represents private and public entities, as well as Sovereign States in commercial and investment arbitrations. He also sits as arbitrator. According to Who’s Who Legal, he is “by far one of the most prominent young figures in international arbitration.” Previously, José was Deputy Secretary General of the ICC International Court of Arbitration. Throughout his career, he has supervised thousands of arbitrations and reviewed an equal number of arbitral awards in a wide range of jurisdictions and applicable laws. José was instrumental in the revision and implementation of the 2012 and 2017 ICC Rules of Arbitration as well as the ICC Court’s policies to increase efficiency, transparency and diversity in international arbitration. He serves as Vice-Chair of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and Membership Officer of the IBA Arbitration Committee among other institutional roles. He speaks Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese and has notions of Russian.
